137°
I had a close one this morning on the way to work.
The roads were a little icy so everyone was going a little slower than normal. Suddenly the car in front of me decides to do a 180° for no reason (Well not quite a 180° more of a 137° I would say). I slowly put on my brakes and do a little zig zag from left to right but manage to keep it straight. Luckily I had kept quite a distance between us, as I remember what happened a couple of years ago. All good fun though.
The time now seems to be here where I don't know if I am finishing working until the 27th. I am going out for lunch with a mate today and will be staying in Town after that. Then we have the weekend, which is packed of things to do and people to see. The problem I have is do I go into work on Monday. We normally do but just for the morning, really just to say Happy Christmas and stuff. I know a lot of other offices aren't. If I don't then I am officially on my Christmas Hols in 1 hour :-)
Hope you all have a great time over Christmas.

Beav & Kiss Xmas Pool
This weekend was the Beav & Kiss Xmal pool competition. The idea is to drink a large quantity of Alcohol and play 1 game of pool at the end of the night.
Well the first part was quite easy to achieve. We met up at 7:30pm and had a quick appetiser of a can of Carling each while we waited for Gaz who was going to join us for the Evening. Then we went to the Farmers Inn for a couple of pints followed by the Windmill for 2 or 3 more.
The final leg was to get down to the Mary's where we filled up on even more Alcohol goodness.
By about 10:50pm we both agreed we were now ready for the match.
I would tell you a bit about the match if I could remember but all I do remember is that Gary was being a pain in the arse trying to commentate on the game and getting in the way :-)
Oh and the other thing I remember was that I won! Hahahahaha.
Then things started to get a bit pear shaped. For some reason Gary got a take out, not sure why but at least we had beer for the walk to the Windmill. We had a few more at the Windmill 'til about 1am. Beav had left at some point. Then walked back to my place with another take out can and finally got back to mine for a few more beers.
So that was my Friday night. A good result for me as I am the champion for another whole year :-)
Thanks for the game Beav it was a close one this year.

Booze shop & stuff
Shit I am slacking here.
It's been ages since I have posted on my blog.
I have wanted to say a few things so here it goes.
Don't get to excited though.
Saw my first daffodil on Monday. Got to be global warming. (I do the daffodil thing every year and it gets earlier and earlier every year)
Went on a survey on Tuesday and fell through the floor of this old barn!
Stuffed my leg up big time. One minute I am stood there with a tape (measuring), next I am flat on my face with my leg through the floor.
Went booze shopping on Wednesday too, got to get the booze for Xmas day, obviously going to have a good day because it cost me £175.
Even I can't drink that much!
So there you go, that's my week so far :-)
I feel better now I've updated.

Batmen to the rescue
Just in case you didn't see Dan's comment he posted. He left a link to The Cairns Post website where they have an article on the Bat's they are looking after. Oh and of course there is a dodgy photo to go with that too :-) At least they got your name right in this article.
Read it here : 'Batmen' to the rescue

Led Zeppelin Reunion Gig
One place I would love to be on Monday is at London's 02 Arena. You know why? 'Cos Led Zeppelin are getting together for a reunion gig there in aid of the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund.
Two slight problems are:
1) I haven't got a ticket and if I did it would cost me between £500 - £10,000.
2) If I had one I probably wouldn't be able to get to the U.K because of the weather anyway.
So probably a good thing that I didn't have one after all.
Anyone fancy sitting outside the Arena with a tape recorder and recording the gig for me?

Xmas Meal
Well here comes a good weekend. It's the weekend when all the local St Mary's lot get together for a meal. I think last year Beav and I ended up having a scrap if my memory serves me correctly. Only a play fight mind.
There are 28 ish people coming to this one! So probably wont get to speak to half of them. I'm sure it will end up as a major piss up as normal.
Am going to have a practise run tonight with a few people, just to make sure I am ready for tomorrow.
They do say practise makes perfect, so after 22 years I should be a Pro!

Christmas Present 1
If anyone is stuck on what to buy me for Christmas then here is a good idea.
For just a measly £114,703.66 you could buy me a House in the heart of Dinan.
It has it's own wooded area outside, has 3 bedrooms.
I just like to dream:

I hate SKY TV
Where do I start?
I have been getting well pissed off with Sky recently.
We pay a load of money for the service and what do we get?
Well I get a load of annoying shit from it tell you the truth.
Here are my 3 top annoyances from it (at the moment):
1) 15 minutes of bloody adverts in a 30 minute programme for a start!
Well it might not be 15 minutes but it's not that far off. I was watching something the other day and it was on for 2 minutes (if that) and it went on to adverts! 2 minutes!
I reckon I could go and have a shower when the adverts come on and actually get back downstairs before the program starts again!
2) Level of sound really annoys me too. I have a "Slight :-)" hearing problem, so I tend to have the volume up a little higher than most people. As soon as the adverts come on, I have to reach for my mute button because the volume nearly doubles! It gives me a bleedin' heart attack sometimes.
3) Signal on some channels is awful. Ok maybe something to do with whoever fitted the dish. I'm sure I was only allowed to have it fitted by somebody who is verified by Sky anyway. The really annoying thing is that it seems to be on the only channels I want to watch. I can't stand normal TV, as in soaps and all that shit, but all of the Discovery channels seem to be messed up big time.
I'm going to have a G&T and de-stress I think.
And to think I was being talked into getting Sky Plus!
I need a Dog.
