Gamers
Anyone want to give me some advice?
I was thinking of getting a new computer so I could play the latest games (I bought one and it doesn't work in my computer!) and decided it was going to get a little expensive for a top of the range machine. So am now contemplating going for a games console instead. What the hell do I get? I was toying with the Playstation 3 which I can get for £342 from Amazon. (I get 17.5% off for VAT)
But reading up on it there seems to be a load of people saying Xbox 360 is better. Of course then there's the Wii.
Someone must have some good advice on this.

xbox 360 is the best from what ive heard, good online and solo, the new suped up 360 is still cheaper than ps3 and it isnt as akward in shape. if you get the 360 you can probably get a wii aswell with the money left over.

PS3 is nice but general sony issues of quantity over quality
Xbox360, Apart from the inital Crashing, total harddrive failer and teething issues, looks like a pretty good machine. One down side it's made by Microsoft.
I tend to go on Price, Concept and Game longevity.
For me:
PS is usually to expensive, a Re-hash of there last incarnations and loads of games but they are all 5 min wonders.
Xbox to expensive, decent system but microsoft issues, Games available on PC.
Wii, cheap, Fantastic design concept, Games that i am still playing 9 months after i bought it (still only have 3 games as they rock).
