eBay saves the day
Recently I decided that I really needed an Ice Maker for the Summer.
What with all the G&T's and Bongo's full of Beer. The only problem being is that most Ice Makers seem to be well over £100 and I thought that would be a little excessive just for some frozen water.
So I decided to go get myself a bargain on eBay.
2 weeks of trying to win an auction took its toll in the end so I decided to do a "Buy it Now" thingy.
I ended up buying 10 in the end. All at the bargain price of 99p each. Not bad huh? They make 600 Ice cubes in just over 2 hours as well. Plenty enough for my needs.
Continued in extended entry:
It's just going to take a while to fill the freezer up.
These must be the biggest Ice cube trays in the world.
Still, I'm well happy with my bargains.

'Allo 'Allo Reunion
Anybody staying in on Saturday 28th April?
If so do you have the capability to record on Dvd?
If the answer is yes to both of those, then would someone record the Return Of 'Allo 'Allo on BBC 2 from 9:00pm - 10:45pm for me please.
I am such a big fan of the original series, I would hate to not get this recorded.
Shame they don't release another series really.

Match of the Bay '07
Match of the Bay is officially on again this year. St Mary against St Ouen. Which ever team wins this year is o.k by me as I drink in both pubs now. Of course my heart is still with the Mary's though :)
It will be held on Sunday 6th of May with Kick off at 3pm. The Balcony Bar should be open around 2pm but maybe a little late as usual. Not too sure if there is a minibus booked yet but if there is it will be stopping at:
The Farmers Inn
St Mary's Country Inn
St Peter's Country Inn
The Tenby/Wine Bar/Trafalgar and then into Town.
Should be a good day out if anyone fancies coming.

Kodak part II
Don't know if you guys remember I had a problem with my old Kodak camera or not as per this post.
Well lo and behold, would you Adam and Eve it? The replacement/upgrade camera is now kaputt too! The flash just stopped working for some reason.
I sent an email to Kodak who replied with some numbers to call. I spoke to a lovely Indian lady who told me they couldn't repair it until I tested the camera with a brand new battery. She insisted that if I take it into any camera shop, they will have a battery which I could test it with. I told her I live in the Channel Islands and the chance of anyone helping me out would be slim but she still insisted.
So the next weekend, off I go into town.
I go into Jessops "Sorry we don't supply those batteries, why not try Kodak Express Centre?"
I go to the Kodak Express Centre "Sorry we don't do those batteries, although we are called the Kodak Express Centre we are not affiliated with Kodak in any way" What the fuck is that about? I think Kodak should look into that one.
Anyway, I then go into Fotosound and guess what? Sorry we don't do those batteries and if we did you would have to buy one anyway.
Just great, a day wasted for Kodak again.
I get back on the phone and speak to another Indian woman and she seems really confused that I had tried and nobody could help me. She tells me she would get back in touch. A week later I get an email informing me I had to pack my camera up and send it to Kodak in the U.K.
Well I did that a week ago and have just received an email informing me that they "are sorry to learn that you have experienced problems with your Kodak Product, it is our objective to have this returned to you as soon as possible.
Well at least they have received it. What's the betting that for some reason they can't repair it and will offer me another upgrade?
Should I just buy a different make? I'm open to any suggestions for a good camera. What's really strange is that I kinda miss not having one around.

Summer on it's way
What an excellent weekend. Why aren't all weekends that long? Perfect weather too. Now I suppose we have to wait for May, which has 3 bank holidays in it. Well 2 for the U.K but an extra one for us in the Channel Islands (Liberation Day, May 9th)
Only problem with that day is it isn't on the weekend this year, in fact it is smack bang in the middle of the week. I'm sure we will sort something out.
Summer is obviously on it's way now. I can tell by the fact that the diary is getting full nearly on a daily basis now. Next weekend has stuff planned, the week after that has too. In fact I think the next 5 or 6 weeks has something planned for them. Looks as though it is going to be a good one after all.

Blogging Blues
I must be going through the winter blogging blues or something recently. Have had loads to talk about but just haven't made time to do anything about it. Could be quite a good thing really as I would only be nagging about shitty companies that have pissed me off. Or that fucking windows xp reminder that keeps popping up on my computer every 10 minutes, you know the one:

It's really been bugging me today. The annoying thing is; even if I'm not at the computer the thing pops up and wants to restart. I just went out for a smoke before and luckily came in before the 5 minutes was up.
Will have to stop these automatic updates I think.
