Glastonbury 2007
Anyone going this year?
Well this is a quick reminder that you need to register for tickets, starting tomorrow morning and finishing on the 28th of Feb.
This year to stop dodgy selling of tickets you have to send them a photo of yourself, which will be put on the ticket. Quite a good idea I suppose but what a load of hassle it will be.
Anyway, you can download the registration form from here or you can register online tomorrow.

Stuff
What's been going on.
Well I've been buying dvd's again. 16 to be precise! One thing that seems to have changed recently with the ordering system at Amazon has put a bit of a damper on buying from them. Since I am from Jersey, I don't pay V.A.T. Amazon take that off when I order from them. Unfortunately now they have Amazon Jersey and they don't take the V.A.T off. I bought two dvd's both listed as £12.99 from Amazon, one came from the U.K and one from Jersey. The U.K one cost £11.06 (they took V.A.T. off) and the Jersey one cost £12.99! What the hell is all that about?
Oh and Jeremy gave me a good idea (about 2 years ago) on how to keep track of what films I have. Am going to write them all down in Excel. Should take me a while but will be worth it in the end. I'm doing it for 2 reasons. Firstly to keep track on whose borrowed them (anyone got any of my films I don't know about?) and secondly (probably most important) is so I don't order films I have already got. I have only done that once. I have got 2 copies of The Big Red One. That's the only problem using Amazon when you are over the limit.
On another topic, does anybody out there use Flora margarine? Something has been happening with the stuff recently. Don't know what Flora have done with the recipe but the damned stuff doesn't stay on your knife. How often do I have to scrape marge off the fekkin' floor? (Has just been bugging me for a few weeks)
Work is keeping me well busy, both at the office and mates places too. Even my house is keeping me busy. I have been trying to get the bathroom sorted as in hopefully get a bath in there. What a hassle it is. Such a small job but sooo much stuff to sort out. Tiles, lights, radiators, pumps, ceiling finish, taps, bath, toilet, basin, shower mixer etc etc. Then when the bathroom is being fitted it will probably take a couple of weeks. So I have to organise a place to shower for then too. Hopefully it will be done sometime when I am away in a few months. So shouldn't be too bad.

Smoking Ban
Severe lack of posting, probably because I haven't got a computer outside. This is all due to the smoking ban in Jersey. Can't wait for the summer, then I can take my laptop outside and blog from there :-) Will beat sitting in my car freezing my bollox off, that's for sure.
Was going to ask all you guys how the smoking ban is affecting your day at work but I was probably the only person who could smoke at work before the ban came in anyway. Personally I still think it is a good idea because I have cut down by almost 20 a day. Now that can't be a bad thing.

Audio247 R Crap II
A follow up to this post obviously.
Well since the last post I have actually received two of the items. One of which seems to smoke a little too much for my liking but hey, I'll be damned if I'm sending it back after all of this shit.
Now to get my last item:
Emailed them, on the Friday, asking where the last item was. They replied on the Monday saying I had to call somebody else! Great.
I call them and get told they have sold out of that item. Would I like to purchase anything else? I don't think so!
I ask for a full refund. She agree's and 20 minutes later I get a refund on the item through Paypal.
Not bad huh? Problem is I got the item value refunded and not the postage. Seems a bit out of order since I have paid £11.45 for postage in the end and that was just for this item, not the others!
So I get on the phone...... I won't bore you with details but I called another 4 times yesterday and twice today so far. Still no joy.
Makes me well annoyed when you think I paid up back on the 12th of December.
So let's see how much time this company has cost me:
12 telephone calls to date.
7 emails to date.
Thing is , people reading this probably think I just complain all the time.
Nothing can be further from the truth but in this case I would have at least expected a reply to my emails and phone calls not just ignore me completely.
Maybe my feedback could be "Just google the words "Audio247" and "Crap" together and have a nice read." Of course if you do that you get this result.

Dum de Dum
Back to work not even with a hangover. This time I have just got a busted ankle, not too sure how I did it but probably lifting stuff or walking too much!
Friday was spent drinking with this guy:
Saturday I gave out the £25 gift voucher to Ani for winning the competition and I gave her the extra large pretend voucher too:
Then on Sunday we started the Thrift club off for 2007. Tony P seemed to be enjoying himself again!
So all in all it was a great weekend. Hope you all had a good one too. Now to work.

Audio247 R Crap
It's been a while since I last got pissed off with a company and its service to their customers but I have a good reason again this time. Remember these lights that I ordered back on the 12th of December last year?
Well I still don't have them yet. I paid the company with Paypal on the 12th and then got 3 emails from them saying "thanks for the payment, your items have been despatched."
Great! I'll have 'em in time for the Christmas period then. Did I bollox get 'em.
So, I sent an email thru' eBay - got no reply in a week. Sent another thru' eBay - no reply in another week.
Rang them up next - spoke to dozy twat for a few minutes then line went dead - Rang back and nobody picked up!
Decided to email to their direct address saying I had just spoken to them and here were the details confirming everything - No reply in a week.
Sent said email again - No reply 3 day later.
That brings us up to today. 30 minutes ago I decided to call them up again and spoke to a not so dozy twat this time (he was more of a prick type) he now informs me that the reason they haven't sent me anything is because I live in Jersey, C.I and I owe them more money for postage! FUUUCCCCKKKKK. Why the fuck couldn't you have let me know a fuckin' month ago you prick?
I didn't actually say that, I wanted to but left out the "Fucks and Pricks".
He said he thought he had and apologised. Fair enough, so I paid the extra money and he has just sent me the same email as he did a month ago saying "thanks for the payment, your items have been despatched."
Let's see what happens now!
Oh and don't ever buy anything off these dick heads on eBay Audio247.
I feel soooooo much better now.
Update: I forgot to say, I keep getting emails asking me to leave feedback for them as soon as possible. Yeah right.

New Year's Eve Photo's

Just to explain about the photo's:
New years eve started at my place. 10 people..... in 70's costumes..... ready to eat an Indian take away...... a few bottles of Champagne...... quite a few beers...... loadsa wine....... Ooops up side your head...... down to the pub...... loadsa beer and wine....... Auld Lang Syne...... back to my place...... started getting a bit blurry by then but I remember Gazza annoying people with his music. For a change.
Was a great night though :-)

Happy '07
That seemed to go a little bit quick but what a great time I had. Last night was a right laugh. Loads of food and booze and even more important, loads of great people on top form. Think I took about 400 photo's over the Christmas period, so will have to go through those and put them up soon.
Right, on with a new year now. Hope you all have a great one.
Now I'm going down the pub early because it's the last night I can actually have a cigarete there (legally) so going to make the most of it :-)
