Too cold to work
Doesn't Christmas finish quickly these days? Hope you all had a good one. Now it's back to work as usual.
It's far too cold in my office to even type this! I am sat on my heater as we speak.
Christmas all in all was a great day. Got twatted slowly but surely. Boxing day was a little quieter. Stayed in all day watching movies and stuffing myself with crisps and chocolates. Then went up the pub to win £40 on the Bingo :-)
Didn't win anything on the Christmas draw though. At least the guy who won it does actually owe me money, so I should get that back soon.
Now for the New Year Party. Am having a 70's fancy dress for some reason. Couldn't think of anything to wear until Robot came in with this Pimp Outfit on.

So am going to wear that now. I just need to go out and get me some Bling to go with it now. Got a funny feeling I am going to freeze my b*lls off walking down to the pub that night.

Merry Christmas
This is just about me done until after Christmas now. I will be leaving my office in an hour, at which time my Christmas officially starts. 4 days of good eating and even better drinking.
Before I can start celebrating the festivities though, I have a few things I need to do.
1pm meet a guy from Huelin-Renouf Shipping at my place to help off load my new Super King Bed and Mattress which has finally got to Jersey. In the end it cost me £73.43 to get it over here. Pretty good considering it was going to cost £591 for freight!
2pm Lunch
2:30pm Booze shop
4pm Food Shop.
5:30pm Start wrapping up presents.
5:32pm Get pissed off and open a beer.
5:35pm Continue wrapping up presents.
5:50pm Finished wrapping up.
Now my festivities can start.
Merry Christmas to everyone who reads this stuff.
I hope you all have a great time with family and friends.
Looking forward to seeing some of you over the next few days.
You can even buy me a G&T if you like :-)

Fighting at the pub
So Beav and I had a fight on Saturday night apparently :-)
I thought something had happened when I woke up with bruises all over me.
He said I was picking on him. Well we actually have photo evidence now.
Ok the photo's aren't great because they were taken on a phone but it does bring back some memories of it happening.

Oh and it was a play fight. Wonder who won?

Comp 13
Right here we go with competition N° 13. I think the way things are going I will only have one more after this one this year. So Ani is definitely looking favourite at the moment.
This comp will have a prize for the winner as well as points.
Harry the Hamster has got in touch and came up with an xlnt idea.
A Harry the Hamster video competition?
You come up with a short clip for Harry to say like his other videos and the winner of that will have the video made from the legendary Harry himself.
Send me your entry in text format. For example one of his other clips went like this (as if you didn't know):
"I went to the pub the other night for a drink and sat next to a beautiful feeeemale and I said to her, your mamma looks like a bowling ball.
SHE GETS PICKED UP, FINGERED AND THROWN IN THE FUCKING GUTTER. DO YA FANCY A SHAG?"
Should be good to see what you lot come up with. The entry date will be the 29th December 2006. I will see if Harry will do the judging on this one.
As usual:
1st place gets 3 points. (Bonus Harry Video)
2nd place gets 2 points.
3rd place gets 1 point.
Last place gets -1 point.
Here are a couple of new ones to get you thinking. (Extended Entry)
Smell-O-Vision (N.S.F.W)
Jingle Balls (N.S.F.W)

Served in Both World Wars.
Captain Kenneth Cummins
What an amazing man and what an end of an era. He served in both, World War I and World War II. He was the last remaining man to have done so and passed away on the 10th December 2006 at a ripe old age of 106 years old. R.I.P. Captain Cummins.
What is amazing still, is the fact that there are still 4 people who survive Captain Cummins who fought in World War I.
They are:
William Stone, 106 years old, of Oxford;
Henry Allingham, 110 years old, from Sussex;
Philip Mayne, 107 years old, of Richmond, North Yorkshire;
and
Harry Patch, 108 years old, from Somerset.
431 years between them! Truly remarkable people.

Comp 12 results
Sorry, was my fault for putting these results up late.

vote 2: entry 2
vote 3: entry 3
Dans Votes:

Markiss votes:
vote 1: entry 1
vote 2: entry 4
vote 3: entry 5
Donna's votes:

Entries 4 and 5 by Don and Dan are equal 3rd with 5 votes (1 point)

Lighting on eBay
I've been at it again!
Drinking then going on eBay. It should be banned you know. I really need a breathalyser attached to my computer. Over 2 pints and it refuses to turn on would be good.
Anyway here's what I got.
The last two are a spotlight and motor for my mirror ball.
Now where's that smoke machine? I can feel a party coming on.

Email from Harry the Hamster
This post is regarding the Harry the Hamster post I put up a few weeks ago.
You know the one, the one where we were trying to 'sus out who created Harry the Hamster.
Well I have received an eeeeeeeeeee-mail from Harry (Rob/k9oggy) and thought I would put it up here for you all to see:
"now then sausage my name is harry the hamster from
www.harrythehamster69.piczo.com
just admiring you site !!!!!!!
just to put a couple of things straight k2 media DO NOT OWN harry the hamster and friends they only have resale rights. i own total ownership and copyright of harry the hamster and friends.
harry was made at 1.59 pm on the 7th april 2006 as a joke on my phone.
2 months later after bluetoothing it to my friends mates were saying that harry was all over the net (yeah right) i said. low and behold harry was an internatinal mobile superstar
i can animate any picture to move and talk and if you want a video making for your phone or to take the piss out of a mate then let me know what you want me to say and i will sort 1 out for you
rob / k9oggy / harry the hamster"
Sussed it out at last.
Now that would make a great Christmas present for a few people I know. (Mr T P!)
Thanks for that info Harry.

Competition 12
Sorry for the delay with this one guys.
I was going to do a weird draw and dance competition but the website went down and I have been waiting for it to come back up again but to no avail.
So I have chosen a different one at long last.
This comp will be a voting comp too.
Basically you get a photo and put some silly eyes on it.
There are no rules of what you put the eyes on.
A Cat, dog, person, cartoon character etc etc.
Just make it as sad or funny as you can :-) (Maybe a photo of one of us!)
The end date for this comp will be next Wednesday. I want it to be a quick comp so I can get a few more in before the end of the year.
Scoring is the same. Points will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and -1 point to the last place.
I have put an example in the extended entry which should explain all.
To enter just click here.
Important
Remember to copy and email me the code to your image!
The code is in the redish type just after "or to put it on your web page, use this HTML:" eg:

Hot Arse Search
Now I find out I am number 1 search result for "Hot Arse" in Google.
Is that a good thing or bad thing?
Mind you, why would anyone search for that anyway?

Computer is really bolloxed up. Am formatting my back up drive as we speak. Because I couldn't gain access to it. Not what I like doing at all.

Revit v9
This post relates to the new software I am having to buy for my office which I ranted on about a few days ago.
I have been looking into getting Revit. It seems to be the way forward in Architecture. I can't seem to find any courses for it in the Channel Islands yet, so looks like I am going to have to teach myself for now.
For those of you who are interested in CAD drafting, you might find this past Webinar on Revit quite interesting. It is nearly 53 minutes in length so:
For those of you who can't be bothered to watch that.
Here are some samples drawn in Revit. (Extended Entry)

Xmas Number 1?
Yup it's me with my doubtful Christmas number ones again.
This time it is from an old favourite of mine, Twisted Sister.
I remember the days when we would go down to the shop and we would all buy 2 litres of cider, down it and then go to a mates place to headbang to "We're not ganna take it" and "I wanna Rock".
Well they have released a Christmas album now. Not the best in the world but it's a change from the over played and annoying regular Christmas music you hear every year. Almost makes me want to go out and buy some more cider and get smashed :-)
You can hear the whole album by clicking on the cover below. (Seems a little temperamental though but I managed to hear all of them in the end. Just keep clicking next track and they will play eventually)
They also have a video out of "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" which is a remake of "We're not gonna take it". It's in the extended entry, as usual.
As I said before, I doubt it will get anywhere in the charts but it is a good laugh. Now where's that cider?

Hug a Muslim
This is a locally made video by Anthony Lewis, who is trying to win a bet that he can get a Christmas number 1. The video was shot at the 5 mile road, in Jersey.
Will it get to number 1?
I don't think so but I'm sure they had fun filming it. What do you reckon?
The Website can be found here www.hugamuslim.co.uk
Video is in the extended entry:
