Finished for the Weekend

Well that's me for the weekend. I'm off to see the Water Rats now. No more work for 4 days. Just sitting around drinking a few pints and listening to a bit of Jazz on a boat. Sounds relaxing huh? Well not really 'cos it does tend to get all mental between 2am and 6am when the real drinking starts. Suits me down to the ground.
Oh and don't forget to keep Lemur and Rob company whilst they do their Blogathon. I'm sure they would be quite happy for you to join them on their websites. Good luck guys.

Wining and Dining

Last night I had a couple of vistors to the house. In fact they were the first vistors to the new place. It was my Mum and Dad. I think they really enjoyed themselves too.
I mean who wouldn't when on the menu was Lobster followed by cheese board and then strawberries and cream. Lovely stuff. Oh and of course we had loads of wine including a lovely bottle of Pouilly Fume and Chateau Martin, thanks to Mum and Dad bringing them round.
Next on the list is the house warming. Don't think there will be any Lobster on that menu. More like cans of lager and crisps :-) Still sounds good to me though.

Masturbate-A-Thon

Fancy making some money for charity? Lemur and Rob are doing it by doing the Blogathon. Even if you haven't got a blog you could enter this "A-Thon"
Yup it's called Masturbate-A-Thon.
Have a read and see if it takes your fancy.
You can even download the entry form here.
Don't think I will be entering though.
Well it is in England after all and it's pretty expensive to get there!

Additional Costs

As you know I will be off to Kenya soonish. Was probably the most expensive holiday I have had to pay for but i'm sure it will all be worth it.
The expense doesn't stop at just the holiday either. I went to the Doctors yesterday to get my hepatitis, typhoid and yellow fever jabs and a prescription for the Malaria pills too. The jabs alone were £117.50 and then another £60 on top for the pills. Then there is the "Visa" which is needed to get into Kenya. That costs £30 but they don't accept cheques so it had to be sent in the form of "Postal Orders" which was an extra charge.
At least it is all paid for now, I thought! Of course, now I will have to go out and buy all the clothes, repellents, sun screens, first aid stuff etc etc etc. Where does it all end?
Probably when I am sat next to the pool in the hotel, drinking a cocktail :-)
Oh and does anyone know the best mozzie repellent I can get?

Hectic

I think my life is starting to slow down again now. It has been a roller coaster the last few weeks, as you can probably tell by the lack of posting.
My broadband still isn't up and running at home yet, which is really starting to piss me off. It's been nearly 4 weeks now and still no joy when I call them up.
Everything in the house seems to be packed away now and I am even getting a patio built in the garden as we speak.
After all of the stress of moving I have decided to treat myself to a trip over to England and go and see the Water Rats play for one night. I couldn't really miss out on that. So really looking forward to seeing everyone there.
I can feel a house warming party coming on too. I will let you all know when it is but is looking as though it will be mid August at the moment.
Now back to work in this sweltering heat. I need to go and buy another fan I think!

Kayaking Photo

I've finally been given a photo of us going Kayaking a few Thursdays ago, thanks to Donna who was the only one who took a camera. I know why now! She took her digital camera and got an electric shock off it. Must admit it was quite funny.

Kiss Jacket part 3 (I think)

Well that's it. I have sent the payment to the eBay seller. I have even spoken to him on the phone and he will put it in the post in an hour or so. I should have it this time next week. Can't believe how much the postage is though. £73 but that is insured I suppose. The overall cost including postage is £271 but is a lot better than buying it new which I just worked out to be £396.82. That's one expensive jacket and it wont even fit me :-)
Let's hope it arrives now!

Kiss Jacket

Just to let you know I have found another Jacket. I should know in less than a day whether or not I am going to be the highest bidder. Probably wont be but I am at the moment. Could this be a new lucky streak I am having? Watch this space.

New Home

What a weekend!
I finally got the house I was waiting for :-)
Weeks of uncertainty and anxiety has now paid off for me.
I am now the proud owner of a house in St Ouen.
It all went through court on Friday and then the mission started.
The mission to move all my stuff from one Parish to the next. (Only 2 miles away but still a bitch of a move)
We had 2 vans to do the job and 9 people.
Thanks to all the guys and gurls who helped. You are all total diamonds.
I really wouldn't have been able to do it without you.
It took a little longer than expected but it worked.
I promise not to move again for some time ;-)
That bloody fish tank is still giving me nightmares.

So what's been going on recently?

Have been emptying boxes really. Moving stuff from one room to the next and vice versa.
It's amazing how much stuff this house can take.
Have only just got online (With Dialup) but the ADSL should be here tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Had my Uncle and his mate staying over this weekend too which made it all a bit better.
When ever we get together it always turns into a major session. This weekend was no exception.

Will take some photo's of the house soon, so you can all see how i'm getting on.

Oh and nearly forgot, the Kayaking on Thursday was excellent. We were out for about 2 hours and saw the puffins, which we were hoping to see. Was such a good time I can't wait to go again.

Anyway, good to be back online, will hopefully have a full presence back here soon.
