Rob how long did that take?

188 levels

My problem was i couldnt get hang of the mines, kept pressing the wrong number and getting in a big mess.

Posted by: Beav at June 13, 2006 12:52 PM

Yay! First for the first time ina while.

Beav - nah, not out too much these days. Far too much shite on t'internet for that.

Dan - 188 levels took a while :-) Takes about 45 minutes to get up to level 30 and then about 20 seconds per level after that. So about 2 hours solid play.

The trick with the mines is to use your Num pad and arrange them around your base so that they correspond to the numbers. Stick mine number 5 on your gun using the little trick and away you go.

The main reason I was able to get so high a score is that once you get past level 30 all the enemies come in one big wave so a nuke takes them all out and you earn enough money to get another nuke. Occasional top ups of health and you can play ad infinitum. Pretty boring really. Getting to level 30 is hard but you need to be good with the mines (and not bother with turrets - they're shite)

Anyway ... YAY!!!

I think Rob should be disqualified on the grounds of having FAR FAR too much time on his hands. Who's with me? ;)

Greg, I am with you. Just don't think Rob will go for it somehow :)

Whats the trick with mine 5?

Posted by: Beav at June 14, 2006 11:46 AM

When dragging the mines into positiion, leave mine 5 for last. Put your curser on the mine and drag it to the play button. Click that and the mine will follow your curse around. So you have a movable mine. Was a clitch in the game.

Even better - if you set mine 5 off and quickly whisk it around over more enemies you can kill them all! Very handy.

Plus this trick also works with turrets ... not as useful though

OOOHHH! u should all be disqualified for cheating then!

Posted by: Beav at June 14, 2006 2:12 PM

Not cheating, just making the most of a clitch. It was also mentioned on the website that the game was on. So if you had read the instructions you would have known about it ;-)
