Comp 6
SInce the lack of posting, due to lack of computer recently, it must be about time for competition 6.
I have been going through a few ideas for competitions and since you all have or have access to cameras this comp will be a photo comp. The first of a few I think.
To start the photo competitions off, I decided to make this one a bit of a laugh.
The subject will be "Faces on Objects"
You will have to use your imagination a little for this comp. Something I know you have all got one way or another.
Basically I want you to take a photo of an object which resembles a face.
I had a look on Flicr and found this xlnt site for some examples for you to see.
The time limit for this comp will be 2 weeks. So all entries should get to me by 11th May 2006.
Feel free to send me your entries any time before that date. Max allowed entries per person is 3. All 3 places can be won by the same person, if all 3 of their photo's are voted for. Please send a description along with your entry too.
All entries will be open to voting. Same rule applies from the art comp, you can't vote for yourselves.
Any questions should be left in the comments.

Computer Trouble
Haven't been online for a while due to my computer dying on me yesterday morning. What a load of crap that was. Couldn't work all day yesterday as I had to buy a new system and then ghost everything over to the new computer. Finally sorted that out. Then today I have been setting the damn thing up to recognise all my printers (3 in all), scanner, back up drive, external drive, Internet connection etc etc etc.
Now it is day 2 without doing any work. Should all be back to normal tomorrow. Just need to sort out the Network problem now. Bloody IP Addresses.

Digital Camera
Question for all you guys in the competition.
Do you all have digital camera's either on your phone or a digital camera?
Just an idea for a competition at a later date.

Also do you all have a hotmail account? To play games against each other on msn messenger.
There's more. Another ebay challenge will be coming in the year so do you guys have an ebay account to buy and sell online?

Foreign Driving
You've got to watch this video of mad driving.
I have driven in some pretty strange places but nothing even comes close to this.
Not sure where it is but most people are saying it is in India. Seems like it is somewhere in Asia anyway.

Comp 5 results
Well here are the results for comp 5. I was suprised to get 4 entries in for this one. I knew Rob had given up as soon as he saw it and that a few others found it hard too. Beav couldn't get access to a computer that often either.
1st place was Dan with a massive 10765
2nd place was Ani with a massive 9744
3rd place was me with an o.k 6833
4th place goes to Greg with a respectable 1574
It was a hard game but there was a knack to it. There was no need to scatter odd pieces of pipe everywhere but just keep clicking until you got the right piece needed. Then make the longest hose possible. I was scattering pieces all over the place for the first few days until I sussed it out. I will try and find an easier one next time. Promise :-)
Now for the scores:

Markiss gets 1 point.
Greg gets -1 point. Seems a little unfair but thanks for entering Greg. I'm sure you will be getting some plus points soon.

Comp 5
Finally I've got my arse into gear and am posting competition 5.
The game is called Fireman.
The idea of the game is to connect the hose pieces together before the water is released. The longer the hose the more points too.
As always can you send me your screen shots for proof.
Screen shots to be in by next Wednesday please.
Now go and put those fires out.

Blast from the past
Dan Reed Network. Ever heard of 'em? Probably not. If you would like to hear some funky heavy metal stuff that I used to listen to when I was a little younger then go here. I used to love this stuff. Listen to the first full album though. I don't know the rest. The Album that starts with "World Has a Heart Too". Some pretty cool guitar in there :-)

Went shopping today and finally got myself some poker stuff. Got my hands on some poker chips and some green baize for the table. Now all I need to do is learn how to play it.

GMail Pop access stopped
Does anyone else use GMail Pop? Since yesterday mine has suddenly stopped working. Anybody have an answer on why this has happened and what I can do to rectify this?

Shopping Spree
I am on a roll at the moment. I want one of these. I don't want to pay that much for it though! I have tried eBay for ages and just can't find one. Any ideas? Let's say I am willing to pay £200 for one. My money is yours if you find me one :-) Please let me know first of course :p

What a weekend
This weekend definitely had a theme spread across it. I think the theme was booze.
Saturday was the big one. There were 19 of us, who all went out for a meal and then on the piss after that.
Apparently I had a party after the pub closed too. Was all a bit hazy after 10pm but I think most of us enjoyed it.
Was a little worse for wear yesterday but still managed to go and see Ice Age 2 at the cinema and have dinner at the Goose on the Green.
By the way, Ice age 2 wasn't as good as the first unfortunately. But still had some good bits in it.
Now at least I have got some time to give my kidneys and liver a rest. They are screaming at me as we speak.
More water, more water. Have had about 6 pints so far today.
Now on with the week.
Oh and Comp 5 should be up sometime this week.
Let's see if we can get a few more of you doing this one.
