Yeti Sports 4
Just been on Rob's site and noticed that Yeti Sports have now released Part 4 of the Yeti's World Tour games. Warning! If you fancy actually working this afternoon, I wouldn't follow this link : Low Flying Australian Penguins?Posted by Markiss at 4:47 PM | Comments (0)
iPod
Just seen this 15 reasons why my iPod is better than a boyfriend. Kinda reminds me of the old 107 reasons Why Beer is Better than Women. But number 15 of the iPod blog was 100% true. I mean, how can any man go for 8 hours without breaking for a beer?Posted by Markiss at 3:14 PM | Comments (0)

WEDDING DRESS/GOWN
I like the way this guy thinks. Can you believe that this bloke found his ex wifes wedding dress in his attic and decided to flog it on ebay just for a laugh. Oh and to get enough money together so he could buy a ticket to a ball game and have a few beers. Well he certainly got enough money to do that and more. Wonder if the winning bidder will actually pay up. Should be interesting. Take a look at the bidding. WEDDING DRESS/GOWN NO RESERVEPosted by Markiss at 3:54 PM | Comments (0)
Modern Britain
O.k some of you may or may not know what I do for a living. Well i'm an Architect (my mates call me an Artichoke 'cos theys a tink it's KoOoOle) Anyway, was loosing track then, have been studying a building recently which has had me fascinated. It's the Swiss Re Gherkin It was designed by Architects Foster and Partners. What an xlnt design. The next time I go to London I would love to go and take a real close up of this building. Wish I had the chance to design something like this. Fat chance living in Jersey. Anyway if you want to take a closer look at the building design by Foster and Partners you can see the Swiss Re Headquarters in more detail here For any of those interested, Foster and Partners have also been busy designing the new World Trade Center too. Have a stroll over to the Fosters World Trade Center and take a look for yourselves. What do you think of their design? In my own personal opinion it beats the other designs offered by some other Architects which can be found at The New World Trade Center 2002 websitePosted by Markiss at 1:39 PM | Comments (0)

Weddings Weddings Weddings
Just found enough time in my day to do a little writing here. Has been a busy day so far. Am on a deadline for another job. Had to take someone to the airport because they are going to South Africa for nearly 3 weeks. Now that was really teasing me........... Bastards....! Then went into town to go and have a fitting for Ricardo and Sarararararah's wedding. I am going dressed as a weird coloured Penguin. Everything fitted well and is ready for the big day now. Then off to the dry cleaners to pick up a suit that I am wearing for another wedding this Saturday. Does someone know something that I don't. Why are all these people getting married? It must be that time of year. Anyway beats me! Since I am on the subject of weddings I decided to do a search on them to see what I could find. And in typical Markiss style I came up with this little number. Now this is what I call a wedding dress. I can see it now........ "Do you take Miss Skimpy wedding Dress Gurl as your................?" "I do" :-) Xlnt......!Posted by Markiss at 3:33 PM | Comments (0)

No I haven't forgotten to update my journal today. Was going to put up some photo's today but haven't received them yet. I will do as soon as I get them or at least get the time to do it. Apparently there are some good ones there. Need to leave work now and have a beer and a fag. And for those of you who come here to look at my stupid links I put up here from time to time here are a couple to keep you amused. Stag do
Saturday was the Stag do, as most of you will know. Unfortunately I didn't take my camera, so will have to wait for everyone to get them developed and then sent to me before I can put them up here. To keep it short, the Stag turned out to be a really good crack. Met in The Mary's for a few just after midday. Went straight to The Old Court House, sat outside and got bloody burnt to shred's. Stayed there for 3 hours or so. Then to The Tenby to start the real drinking. Met up with a party of Girls who were out for Emma's Birthday. They were up for a laugh. (Stiletto's on your back, Condoms on your head, downing Vodka, Hey Tiger, Piggy back racing, lipstick on your collar etc etc) Had a few bottles of Champagne for Emma's Birthday and Ricardo's Stag. That stuff seems to go straight to my head. Then off to The Wine Bar and then had to help Ricardo into the Trafalgar. Bloody piss head :-) Taxi's to St Mary's Pub after that and then when that closed we all went back to my place for a party. Things were really blurred by then but apparently we all had a good time there........ Told you I was going to keep it short! Watch this space for the photo's. Well the ones I can put up anyway :-) Now back to work and pretend my head isn't hurting.Posted by Markiss at 2:19 PM | Comments (0)

Gmail Tester
I have been accepted as one of Google's testers for thier new Gmail service. Xlnt! 1000 megabytes of storage comes with this account too. Should be interesting to see what the service is like. The only immediate problem seems to be that a Robot will be sifting through my emails to create ads at the side of the email page. They have assured me that it isn't a human being doing this. Another good thing is that since I am one of the first (Thousands) of people given an address with Gmail I have got the one I wanted which is "markiss at gmail dot com" instead of one of those horrible ones like markiss243412121@hotmail.com. So now I have another account to check when I switch the computer on.............. Will post about the Stag do later on tonight if not on Monday. Still getting my head back in order :-)Posted by Markiss at 6:19 PM | Comments (0)

Google Holiday Logos
Well we've all seen them before but have you seen all of them? The Google Holiday Logos. Ever wondered who it was that actually designs them. Well it's a Mr Dennis Hwang. He is a 23 year old Korean computer artist in the United States. What a lucky fella. I would love to have a job like his. Oh and of course Google have a load of wanna be Hwang's, you can see them at Google Fan Logos. I can feel a Markiss Google design competition coming on. Friday Game day
It's that day again. I love Fridays, start of the weekend at last. Going to be a full packed weekend. Going out for a chinese tonight, or should I say this evening! The table is booked for 6pm! I know I won't make it for that time but will try my damndest to get there as quick as I can. Then Saturday is a mates Stag do. Starting at midday in the local pub, then down to the restaurant and who knows what after that? So I would imagine that Sunday will actually be a day of rest for a change. Now for the Friday game. This one is quite amusing, if you like blowing things up! How do I explain this one? Well the best explanation is that you have to blow up a vehicle and make it crash into these alien jellyfish type creatures. Got it? I would love to know what type of person thinks of these. Anyway here you are, I present Warthog Launch.Posted by Markiss at 11:06 AM | Comments (0)

Boinking
Firstly, I just wanted to say thnx to Mum and Trisha for the xlnt Indian meal you treated us to last night. I want seconds tonight now. After the meal we went home had a few drinks etc then everyone went to bed instead of me. I just stayed up watching Trauma on TV, as I do. Couldn't believe what happened next! Was lying on the floor infront of the TV, with my headphones on and my head resting on my arm. (Get the picture?) Nice and relaxed, then I felt something on my back! SHIT. Now that freaked me out, so I quickly turned round and saw that it was my Cat. Phew, no problems there then, so I carried on watching TV. Now the cat kept playing with me for some reason. It kept tiggling me under my arms. Never done that before! So I decided to put my hand under my arm and play with him............... Only to find out it wasn't him playing with me, it was a fucking mouse under my arm trying to get away from the bloody cat! Now that's when I freaked. You see, I don't get on with animals that are not meant to be in my house. The other week it was a massive queen wasp in my shower and now this! I nearly had a Heart attack. Lucky for me though, I managed to catch the little Meedy and put him outside. He ran off pretty quickly, so I would imaging he was fine. Of course I had to have another glass of Red wine, just for medicinal purposes :-)Now with the Da's Ga's and Ba's McGurk-effect Strange................
How xlnt is this? Boink Ever get the urge to send someone a package that would embarrass the hell out of them? Maybe you've got a "favourite" teacher, a snotty boss or co-worker, a former spouse or significant other. Well .. your search has ended for the perfect prank. Now you can send, completely anonymously, a huge box with highly visible labels all over it that no one in the office will be able to miss. Your lucky recipient will be thoroughly mortified. Here's just a sampling of what can be plastered all over these huge boxes:
Inflatable Doll of the Month Club;
Guide to the Best Brothels in Nevada;
Your Nude Glamour Shots are Being Returned.
So go and do a bit of Boinking
That's all for now............ Until tomorrow, (Friday, Game day) Byeeeeeeeeeee

Penguins
O.k you lucky lot. Since I am in a good mood today. (Had a good day at work, finishing early and going out for an Indian meal tonight) I have decided to treat you to a game, even though it isn't Friday! This is a bloody version of penguin throwing. Basically you have a club, penguin and land mines. Who said "Penguins can't fly"? My personal best is 753 so far! Enjoy...................: :: YETI GORE ::Update: 1020.2 now....... Loads of mines :-)

My Collection
I have been collecting spam emails for a while now. Infact it's nearly a month, I started collecting Spam on Wednesday, March 24th to be precise. The collection is doing really well too! Now, since I am interested in collecting these emails, I stumbled on a great site that has worked out a really interesting fact. This person has worked out how many different ways you can spell Viagra. The reason being, obviously, is because spammers spell it differently so your email software can't filter them into your trash can. You know the ones, V1agra, v!@gRa etc etc. Well this guy has worked out that there are 1,300,925,111,156,286,160,896 different ways to spell it. Now that's quite alot isn't it? I did a search of my spam collection and found that I have had 74 emails with Viagra spelt correctly and 783 with it spelt other ways and that's in just 29 days. See, I'm doing quite well aren't I? One thing that does confuse me though. If I did buy Viagra? I would rather buy it from someone that could actually spell correctly. Someone like my DoktaH or Kemmist. Anyway........ Here are the calculations to see for yourself: There are 600,426,974,379,824,381,952 ways to spell ViagraPosted by Markiss at 3:23 PM | Comments (0)
Kermit rolls a joint
An animated clip of Kermit the Frog rolling a cannabis joint is being circulated by email in Chile. The clip shows Kermit teaching new cannabis users how to roll a joint. I mean, how kule is that? Monday at last
Is it a good or bad sign, when you are actually looking forward to Monday and getting back to work? I don't know why but I was actually looking forward to it today :-) Had a good weekend in all. Apart from Sunday. Having to do the thrift and then falling out with the other half. Have been preached to all of the weekend too. Too much pub, cigarettes and not enough weddings and babies etc etc. All this seems to be doing my head in. But I will get over it no doubt. Just fed up with other people trying to change my life all the time. I know this week is going to be a busy one but am looking forward to it. And at the end of it I have a stag party to go to. Just a quicky please
Had a long day today. Feeling a bit knackered to tell you the truth. So what happened today then? Hmmmmmmmm? Got up and cleaned the house really. One reason for that was. My Mum and Auntie came over today. Haven't seen my Mum for nearly a year and my Auntie for nearly 7 years! Has been sooooo great to see them. I miss them so much. So was back and forth (did I spell that right?) to the Airport today :) Mum likes the house we live in, which is cool. Had the obligatory "I drink too much and smoking is bad for you" talk. Hopefully that will be the last of that but still waiting for the "What time do you get to work?" chat. That will come later in the week, no doubt. But Mum's are Mum's. That's why I love her so much :-) Then we went out for a pub meal, which was lovely, then back home for a glass of wine. They went to bed because of all the travelling they had done today. Bless 'em. Then Headf*ck started. Wish you were here to do this one Lemur...... Something to do with: Are courgettes the same as Marrows? Shot guns shooting Marrows. PULL "Bang" Not a marrow! Snakes, Great white sharks and sinks. If you got into a swimming pool with a sink and let the plug out of the sink, would the pool drain? Hmmmmm. Right, off to watch another episode of 'Allo 'Allo now. Sleep tight peeps. Nighty night. Markiss xxxxxxxxxxxxPosted by Markiss at 12:18 AM | Comments (0)

How Old is Your Inner Child?

My inner child is sixteen years old! Glad I was 16, as it matches my site colours too!

adults might just accept that, I know
something's gotta change. And it's gonna
change, just as soon as I become an adult and
get some power of my own.

I think I have found it
A printer that is! After much deliberation I am now considering the Epson Stylus R300M. Dabs will be selling it shortly for £122 ex VAT. That's if they do take off VAT, i'm sure they do. So what do you reckon? It does print onto cd media but doesn't print on both sides but I thought "What the hell", I have a printer at work for that! This one should do for what I need at home and for a mere £122!!!!!!! Just have to wait a month now 'till I get it! Unless I can find it anywhere else.Posted by Markiss at 3:14 PM | Comments (0)

Back in the Office
I always seem to take ages to get back into the swing of things after a long weekend. Today is one of those days. Had a great weekend, too much to put down here, let's just say a lot was drunk and eaten. Did some useful stuff too, believe it or not? Finished decorating and just waiting for the carpet to come down now. Saw a lot of old friends too. So couldn't have asked for a better one really. But now it's back to work as normal. The phone hasn't stopped and no-one else is in, for a change. (this entry has taken 30 mins so far to write) But work I must as we are really busy at the moment. The light on the horizon is...... that it is a short week anyway :-)Posted by Markiss at 11:23 AM | Comments (0)

Just a quick blog. Since my head seems to be mashed up from this long weekend! And it is getting quite late. Just tried to print something off on my printer and realised that it has been broken for the last 3 months. I NEED a new PRINTER.......... Any Ideas would be great please. Which one should I get? I do try and keep up with Hardware but I haven't got a clue on this one. Something under £200 would be lovely. Please help me..................... I know someone out there can help me. Bisexual Website
And Finally......... I have now made this site Bisexual. Yes that's right, this site is officially bisexual. So if you want to, you can now read this site in other languages. French, German, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian. I don't know how good the translation is but if I go by the French one, it's not brilliant but you can get by. I just like the little flags really and it gave me an excuse to use Paint Shop Pro again :-) So if you do speak another language, maybe you could let me know if it is any good. So to my German readers (Woomy and friends!) you might find it a little easier. Oh and Woomy, I know I should have written Translingual (or is it multilingual? I've confused myself now) but I prefer the word Bisexual........... Joe... You can let me know what the Portuguese and Spanish is like....... you must be Bisexual if you can speak 3 lanuages :-) Only joking mate! Streve. I tried to find a translation into Aussie but couldn't find one, sorry mate. And as for Allan-----No chance! Am leaving work now to start the long weekend. Everyone enjoy.Posted by Markiss at 5:24 PM | Comments (0)

Arrow in Fedex logo
Not long to go now until the "Long Weekend". Can't wait. Will have the decorating all finished this Saturday, so no more living in a building site. Going down to St Aubin for lunch too! Now I know that will end up being a long day :) Hope you all have a good weekend too. Now for something that will annoy you. Beware. Once you read this next piece, you will look at this advert differently for the rest of your life and you will have me to thank for that.I saw this on the Net earlier this week.
There is an arrow formed by the space between the last E and x in the FedEx logo and now It's doing my tit's in as I can’t focus on anything else.
So I thought I would make it get on as many other people's tit's as possible, just because i'm nice like that :)

Poop for Peace
The east hates the west. The Christians hate the Muslims. The liberals hate the conservatives. After a year of fighting in Iraq, the only tangible result is that the chasm dividing humanity is even deeper. In a war of aggression versus terrorism, the distinction of who is perpetrating which depends on what side you ask -- so divided are we as a species that we can't even agree why we're killing each other. For there to be peace, there must be understanding. For there to be understanding, there must be a common ground. But the further the chasm deepens, the more fundamental to basic human nature the common ground has to be.And so April 16 th is Poop For Peace Day.
Poop is the one experience all human beings have in common. We may have varying ideas of God and politics, but the power of an impending poop is a higher calling to which every human must answer. Side by side in a public bathroom, any two human beings are stripped of their differences and reduced to their most basic essence: a pair of feet sticking out below the stall, and a pair of butt trumpets performing a greasy symphony to lament humanity's non-negotiable deference to the call of the vile.
Under the influence of Taco Bell, there is no Christian or Muslim or Jew. There are only human bodies, reacting to the complications of digestion in the same predictable and malodorous ways. Poop wields supreme power over our bodies -- when poop calls, you answer, or you face the consequences. Poop is our cruel tyrant, our fickle deity, our omnipotent oppressor -- it is a force to which every human being has no choice but to submit.
And recognizing this is the first step toward world peace.
Poop For Peace Day is not a day of protest. Pooping for peace is not a left-wing or right-wing activity. Pooping for peace is an act of unity. It's not about religion or politics. Rather, it's about the simple truth: underlying our religions and our politics are universal needs, wants and desires. To poop for peace is to transcend arbitrary divisions and embrace that which makes us human. Only from starting at such a fundamental truism can we hope to expand our understandings and solve our differences.
On April 16 th, take some time to think when you take your time to stink. Think of yourself on your toilet, and George W. Bush on his, and Saddam and Osama on theirs. Think about the children of Iraq and the children of America, and realize that while their skins are different colors and their gods have different names, their daily ritual is exactly the same. We all poop, which means we're all human, which means we're all brothers and sisters. Any other differences are arbitrary -- we are all united in the daily struggle against the tyranny of the bowel.

Did it again
What is the most unhealthy thing you can do on the Internet? I'll tell you......... It's going online when you have had a few drinks and then get your credit card out and start shopping! Last night before I went to bed, at about 2am, I decided to check my emails and saw that Skippy the Aussie Steve was online. So said "Hi!" as you do. Then he told me that he had just ordered Allo Allo series 3-4 online. Well that was it. I ended up buying the entire series 1-4 on dvd in 2 box sets. Xlnt, I just love Allo Allo. Can't wait for them to come down now. Just not looking forward to my Credit Card bill :) Joke. But it can be really quite unhealthy sometimes. I have, on loads of occasions, woken up to find that I have a new digital camera, fridge (yes, I said fridge!), stereo or 20 or so dvd's on thier way down to me in the post. I know I have posted about this before but I just like to keep reminding myself of it. Last time I didn't even choose anything. I just asked a mate to spend £100 for me and I would see what his taste in Movies was like. Still haven't got through all of them yet but what I have seen so far is good. Well back to work. Have a good day, people.Posted by Markiss at 11:48 AM | Comments (0)

Weekender
Mondays!!!!! Can't quite get my head into gear today. Even had to get up early to let the builders in this morning. Am having some work done on the shower, which has decided to start leaking through the floor. Nice! Money money and even more money. This weeked ended up being a very busy one and a good one too. Friday night was normal. Then came Saturday, which was a mixture of shopping (B&Q), giving people lifts, working and Head Fuck night! Was a good night, you can read about it here thanks to Lemur Girl. Penguins? Hmmmmm. Then came Sunday. A bit boring really but quite preductive. No I don't spend all of my spare time in the Pub. Did more decorating and putting up curtain ralis etc etc. Did a pretty good job, if I don't say so myself. Oh, then went down to the pub and got pissed :-) What the hell is this all about by the way? Things My Girlfriend ....
I came up with a really good idea for my blog today. "Things me and the Missus argue about", was going to be the title. I mean, sometimes it is amazing what we argue about. She just seems to want to argue for no reason what so ever. Even if we are having a great time and getting along just great she will still have to disagree with me. What is it about women that make them that way? Anyway, I did a quick search on the Net, only to discover that someone else had the idea before I did. So i'm not going to bother with it now, as his site is just so identical to my relationship. Have a look, it makes for some funny reading. It does honestly, now no disagreeing with me now :-)Things My Girlfriend And I Have Argued AboutPosted by Markiss at 1:41 AM | Comments (0)

Let them sing it for you
This has been another one of those busy days. Haven't stopped all day, well until now! I have been doing one of my favourite jobs though. I have been drawing an exhibition piece for one of my clients to show the site layout in "nice pretty colours", so even the thickest of people can understand the plans. So now I have finished that, I thought I had better put an entry in my blog. Well it's April Fool's day today and the only gag I have heard so far, was on the radio. There was a news item saying that France and Germany were ditching the Euro and joining the pound. Yeah right! As if anyone was going to fall for that one :) I thought about doing some kind of trick on this website but just didn't have enough time and it was soon after midday before I realised it was too late, damn! Right, for my link of today, I give you Let them sing it for you. This site can be quite amusing, basically you type in some words and then famous singers will sing it out for you..... Unfortunately the word database has only got 1400 words in it so far, so can be a bit annoying too. Give it a try.Posted by Markiss at 4:53 PM | Comments (0)
