Update on snowmen

I seem to have really hurt my leg. I can hardly walk today. I am just waiting for something to click back into place. Could this be the end of my snowman building? I also got an email telling me that Aussie Steve has been down to E.R for his leg. It's not a good idea falling down the stairs mate. Hope you are o.k? What an eventful evening had by all. Roll on the weekend........

Snow men and women

Just a quickie! Oh my god! Just got back from making snow men... In a sentence. Bulls (don't throw snow balls at them) Bikes (don't try and ride them in the snow) Forgot the stolen bike too! When making the body, fine. Don't try and pick up the head (or should I say Hid) it's too f*cking heavy! Waiting for the photo's now. Night night ladies and gents............. Need my bed :) Will carry this on further soon ,no doubt. *Deleted by the author*............. My legs are soaked....

Hero Machine

Stumbled across this one this afternoon. Create your own superhero's. Well I tried it and ended up with some really dodgy looking bloke who didn't look that super! Can end up reasonably funny though. "Have you ever been frustrated by an inability to see a character you've imagined? Are you constantly asking (all right, begging) your "artist friend" for an illustration because you can't draw a straight line with a ruler? Now your frustrations are over! Thanks to the HeroMachine, you can dynamically create your own customized character portrait." Try it here

Another hard day at work!

As I write this, Led Zeppelin has just come on the radio! Ah that's better............ Why am I so busy at work these days? Well this week is because at the begining of March, the new building bye laws are coming into force. So the five houses I am doing working drawings for, need to be finished by the end of this week. So it is non stop for me at the moment but still had to take 5 minutes out to do my blog. A good reason for this is to tell you that I have been asked to be someone's best man. I shall try and do a good job. Have been there once before for my Brother. Was a very long day but it all went well in the end. Think I might have to put the giving up smoking bit on hold now too :-) Now for me to see if he will be up to having his stag do in St Lucia for a week, all expenses paid........! Maybe not.

On another note:

10 g (4 oz ) plain flour
1 egg beaten
250 ml (1/2 pt) milk

Mix it altogether and fry in a hot pan. Add a little sugar and lemon juice. Have a nice Pancake day.

Star sign reading

Starting to go off Radio 2 now. Bloody Star sign reading with Russel Grant! What the hell is all that about? Do people really believe in this type of thing? This guy is saying some pretty heavy stuff to these people who are obviously listening to him and will carry out what he is saying...... Sad.

Getting old I think!

I'm a bit worried about my age today! I am normally an avid listener of Radio 1 but for some reason I decided to check out Radio 2 today, just for a bit of change. To my amazement, I really like it. The music is definitely more to my kind of taste. Well most of the time. So far I have listened to artists like : Bowie, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, Eric Clapton, Dido, Bob Marley etc etc. O.k they do throw a few dodgy artists in there from time too time but hey? I am going to give it a week and see what I think of it. Age creeped up on me big time today. I mean, shit, i'm 34 this year! Is it going to be Radio 3 next year? Kids and marriage? I need another holiday..........

Ah Saturdays

Can't believe I didn't post anything yesterday! Was far too busy at work. I always seem to be working on deadlines these days. Well at least it is the weekend now. I seem to be busier on Saturdays nowadays too. Fixed the cup'd door in the bedroom. Fitted my new Maglite rechargeable to the wall. Repaired a computer for a freind, had to reinstall windows xp on the system. Took 2 hours! Why is it never straight forward when it comes to computers. I thought they were invented to save you time........... Oh and finally got round to putting the Mortgage papers and health insurance documents in the safe. They have been cluttering up the Kitchen for 5 months now. So now that is all done, my head feels alot better and I can sit down and watch a movie or something, without feeling that I have wasted a day. Hope you have a good weekend. Au Revoirs mes Amies..........................

Why fix it?

If it aint broken........................... This really does give me a dilemma, when it comes to computers. I always want to keep my software, drivers etc up to date. But why should I? If it is working fine at the moment. In my case, this morning, I was told by Autocad that my plotting driver needed upgrading. So since my computer told me to upgrade it, I did. I looked at the new driver first, to make sure it was compatible with my OS (xp) and Hp 450C Designjet, and it was. I qualified for an upgrade in all cases. So there I was twiddling my fingers whilst I downloaded the 3mb file (not on broadband yet!). I installed it as instructed, then started up Autocad. Went to print a drawing (which is needed urgently) and the bloody thing started coming up with loads of errors! Aaarggghhhhh!!!!!!! So I ask again: Why fix it? If it aint broken.

Just a warning about a new virus. I have had it sent to me 3 times this afternoon and decided to scan the files sent in email attachments. They were obviously sus emails, so used Norton and it didn't pick them up. I used Norton update and then it did pick them up and quaranteed them. So you had better do some updating. Have taken off the jokes page today as I haven't really got enough time to update it everyday. But my home page is pointing to my daily Blog now. Am going to spend some time re-designing my works website soon too. I had a look at it the other day and was cringing at it. Oh my god! It was the first website I ever tried to build. It was about 3 years ago now I think? Well I had to start somewhere. It is quite funny looking at old sites that people designed for the first time. Have you looked at any sites of yours that you had forgotten about over the years? Can be a laugh :)

I Know Where Bruce Lee Lives

This is great if you're into the old Bruce Lee films. Basically it's like designing your own trailer for a typical cheesy 70's Bruce Lee film. You've got all the sounds and moves to play about with. You can even record and overdub what you have written. Takes a bit of a wait to download if you are not on Broadband though! Worth the wait for a good laugh! KungFu Remixer

AirlineMeals.net

Surfing the Net and came across this little number. It's a website about food that gets served on Air Travel. Quite amusing some of it. They have photo's of meals dating back as far as the 1950's right up to present day. The sad thing is that British European (Flybe) seem to have the worst food available (I use the word available loosley though, because it is very rare that you actually get any) and that's the only Airline I can use really. So now you can take photo's of your meals and send them in to this site. (That's if you're sad enough :-) AirlineMeals.net

Beard For Charity

This guy has put up a charity Blog. He intends in not shaving for a year to raise money for The Myasthenia Gravis Association. Gavin started growing his beard on the 8th September 2003 and is looking like a yeti already. Go take a look at the beard updates. Maybe when he comes to shave it off, he can go to Xset.co.uk for tips on getting rid of it. Beard For Charity Well that blog was a little bit better than Pit Pumps but only just :-)

What?

I should stop doing this! Blogging when I get back from the pub. I have a good reason though, I have been far too busy at work............. I know that might sound strange, as most bloggers do their blogs at work but unfortunately, if I am busy then I wont. But i'm not at work now so I can :-) Mind you not much to tell apart from my fag packet again! (Does scare me a bit really) Well the Fag packet tells me tonight! Wait for it......... I know you want to know............... "PIT PUMPS"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't got a clue what that means, apart from it included Jordan in it. XLNT! Something to do with little pumps under her arms and flapping a bit to inflate them. God knows! Oh and someone said something about Grannies and Dicks, I wasn't having any of that one! So there you go, maybe do a better blog later today. Will try honestly......... Night people, sleep tight.

Saturday Night!

Have just come back from my Saturday night at the pub! What can I say? As normal we were talking a load of cr*p. Saturday night at our local is called Headfuck night. Why? You may ask............ Because it's just the done thing. Maybe because we just like to get away from work and all things sensible. The topics of the night were: (Reading this off my fag packet by the way!) 1) Saving Private Nemo............ We thought it would be a good idea to make a film based on Finding Nemo but with a slight twist. Nemo is now a Mackerel and is living in Normandy! Around the time of the D Day landings. (6 June 1944) Can you just imagine it? Well you had to be there tonight. Poor Nemo was a bit stressed out, to tell you the truth.

and

2) Now I have a bit of a problem with this one. This is to do with Xset and Lemur Girl.
apparently this is something to do with (now this is on my fag packet too!) "Stunt box kite Lemur Girl". Well when Lemur Girl was younger, her family used to fly her just like a kite! She was about 6 years old I think. Now did they tie two pieces of string to her legs and use her as a stunt type of kite? Lemur Girl you must tell me more about this. It has got my imagination going wild. I was wondering whether you had a ribbon attached to your arse aswell?

Now that's why I don't normally post when I have had a few to drink! Looking forward to reading this tomorrow morning before I go down to the pub to do the Thrift club. Hope I haven't offended anyone here :-)

O.k this is a bit more down to earth than my last post. Find out if you're unique or manique by searching this database to see how many people in the uk have the same name as you. I am Unique there are 12 of me "There are probably more people killed in yoghurt, cream, marshmallow and fluffy thing accidents each year than there are of you." Well that's nice to know! Busy today !

Lack of blogs today as am really busy. Only me at work again! Nevermind it's the weekend soon :-) Having loads of problems trying to make a custom lisp routine for autocad at the moment. Doing my head in. Can anyone help? PLEASE!!!!!!

The problem is, I am creating a button in AutoManager, to accomplish the plot. BUT, I don't want two separate buttons. The routines are below:

;AME = Print A size Extents Model Space
;mdd-4v-a.pc3, ANSI A (210 x 297 mm), mdd-b.ctb
(defun c:AME ()
(Command "-plot" "yes" "model" "mdd-4v-a.pc3" "ANSI A (210 x 297 mm)"
"inches" "landscape" "no" "extents" "fit" "0.00,0.00" "yes" "mdd-b.ctb"
"yes" "no" "no" "no" "yes")
(Command ".quit" "yes")
);end

;APE = Print A size Extents Paper Space
;mdd-4v-a.pc3, ANSI A (210 x 297 mm), mdd-b.ctb
(defun c:APE ()
(Command "-plot" "yes" "layout1" "mdd-4v-a.pc3" "ANSI A (210 x 297 mm)"
"inches" "landscape" "no" "extents" "fit" "0.00,0.00" "yes" "mdd-b.ctb"
"yes" "no" "no" "no" "no" "yes" "yes")
(command ".quit" "yes")
);end

Well you never know? Someone might come to my rescue!
Think I had better take some time out and surf the net for some interesting/funny stuff before my head explodes!

Iceberg that sank the Titanic

When you look at it, it's hard to believe this hunk of ice was behind the tragedy of the Titanic. This photo of the iceberg as well as 2 others in existence was snapped by a passenger on the Carpathia, the ship that answered the Titanic's SOS call. As far as I have been able to tell, this was the first because the scrap of Titanic hull paint is the largest. The berg stood about 100 feet over the water and even threw some chunks onto Titanic's deck as it passed, which some passengers played soccer with, believing they were safe. It's now thought that substandard steel used in making the Titanic's rivets was so brittle that pressure caused them to snap, making the plates push apart. The berg, which was seen to melt away and change while in visual range, it drifted off during the recovery of victims' bodies and unlike the Titanic, was never to be seen again.

Online Scalextric

This brings back great memories for me. Did you ever own a Scalextric set? I did, but it was given to charity when I got older. Don't know why as I wish I still had it even now. Well thanks to this Swedish site, you can now play it online. The good thing about this site is that you can design the track to how you want it. But for some reason you play against a Cockatoo! Great fun for a few minutes of your day. Give it a try. Apparently you can play doubles but haven't looked into that yet. Online Scalextric

Online cheese comparator

What type of Cheese do you compare to? I am "FETA": Feta is soft, white cheese made in Greece. Traditionally it was made with ewe or goat milk, but today is mostly made from pasteurised cows milk. It is solid, but very crumbly, due to the numerous fissures it contains. It has an acidic, salty taste, and is often used in salads. Online cheese comparator

I like this one. Upload a photo of a mate and get him/her to strutt their stuff online :-) Unfortunately I have had to use Gazza's photo again, just because of a certain hair style there was to pick. Looks spitting image to the real thing. Well 15 years ago it did :-) Take a look for yourself You can try it out for yourselves here

Rotten Fucking Cunts

Well that must be the best Title for one of my posts so far. I must thank John Lydon (Formerly Jonny Rotten of the Sex Pistols, as if you didn't know that already!) for giving me the excuse to use it though. Last night on the live ITV show, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'s live eviction programme, Lydon said "Oh, Fucking Cunts" to over 12 Million people, when he was told that he was staying there. Apparently the ITV network only got about 55 complaints about it. I'm not really surprised tell you the truth. I mean what did they think they would get, by having Lydon on the show anyway? He is by far the funniest person on that show. I didn't watch it last year but this year seems to be a bit different. So what is wrong with swearing on the T.V anyway? Surely in this day and age, you should be allowed to swear after 9pm! This incident happened after 10pm! So ITV are now thinking of putting a 15 minute delay on the so called "LIVE" program! It will end up being like "The Osbournes". An hour of Bleeps, so know-one will know what is being said at all. Just for the record.......... Go on John, you're going to win this hands down. We can all see that's what you want to happen anyway! Rotten outburst sends ITV into tizzy

Number Withheld

Have had a few calls this morning with the "number withheld" message coming up on my phone. If you don't want me to know who you are then don't bother calling me. Your loss :-) Always makes me wonder why people do that? I stopped answering these calls a while back because it always seemed to be people who were trying to sell me something. So if you want a chat, unblock your number in future. Ahh! that feels better, just needed to get that off my chest.
