Blog: Well, as Markiss is on a break, he has kindly given me permission to continue running the joke of hte day (well, he doesn't know I'm going to do it but I guess he'll find out soon enough)
So here is Friday's offering:
Three Hardcore Mice
Three mice are at a bar, having drinks, talking about how tough they are.
The first mouse slams down a shot of booze, says, "Let me tell you how
tough I am. I spot a trap and go for the cheese. When it snaps, I snatch
the bar and bench press it 20 or so times and before it can close I'm
outa there!" and he tosses down another shot.
The second mouse slams down a shot and says, "You think that's tough? When
I find a pile of d-con, I crush it and snort it like its cocaine." With
that he throws down another shot and slams his shot glass on the bar.
The first two are staring at the third mouse, waiting to see what he has to
say for himself. He fires down a shot of booze, throws down his glass and
heads for the door. His buddies look at each other, then at him and say,
"Hey, where are YOU going?" The third mouse says, "I haven't got time for
this shit, I need to get home to fuck the cat."

Time off work
Mood: SuperbListening to: R.E.M ~ Shiny Happy People.
Blog: Well I think this will be the last blog I do for a while. I hear you asking why? Because I have decided to take some time off work and do nothing but relax. No work or computer related things :-) Ahhhhh Bliss ! Will be back all charged up in November sometime. Keep coming back though. You never know. I might make a suprise appearance occaisionally :-)

Road to Perdition

Blog:Feeling good today as I actually stayed at home last night and didn't go out. Still managed a bottle of wine though :-)
Watched "Road to Perdition" last night. Xlnt film. I would recommend it to anyone.
Would like to thank Robert for the advice given below. If you haven't got any anti-virus software on your computer then download it now. You haven't got anything to loose.

virus scanner
Have just spoken to a friend, in the know, about the aaaa@aaaaaa.aaa technique for protecting your address book etc. Apparently viruses in this day and age are far more evolved than a few years ago. So it is far more important to protect your computer. The Advice is "The best (and only) way to protect your system is to have a good and up to date virus scanner installed, one that offers protection against the latest types of worm." HOW TO PROTECT

Blog:Was reminded about this little trick by Kevin this morning. I did this about a year ago haven't needed to use it as my virus software seems to be doing the trick at the moment. But this is still a good idea and protects your Freinds and Family.
HOW TO PROTECT YOUR ADDRESS BOOK:
I learned a computer trick today that's really ingenious in its simplicity. I received it from a friend who's a computer geek.
As you may know, when/if a worm virus gets into your computer it heads straight for your e-mail address book, and sends itself to everyone in there, thus infecting all your friends and associates. This trick won't keep the virus from getting into your computer, but it will stop it from using your address book to spread further, and it will alert you to the fact, that the worm has got into your system.
Here's what you do; first, open your address book and click on "new contact", just as you would do if you were adding a new friend to your list of e-mail addresses.
In the window where you would type your friend's first name, type in AAAAAAA, Also use address AAAAAAA@a.aaa
Now, Here's what you've done and why it works: The name AAAAAAA will be placed at the top of your address book as entry #1. This will be where the worm will start in an effort to send itself to all your friends. But, when it tries to send itself to AAAAAAA, it will be undeliverable because of the phony e-mail address you entered.
If the first attempt fails (which it will because of the phony address), the worm goes no further and your friends will not be infected.
Here's the second great advantage of this method: If an e-mail cannot be delivered, you will be notified of this in your IN BOX almost immediately. Hence, if you ever get an e-mail telling you that an e-mail addressed to AAAAAAA could not be delivered, you know right away that you have the worm virus in your system. You can then take steps to get rid of it! Pretty slick, huh?
If everybody you know does this then you need not ever worry about opening mail from friends. Pass this on to all your friends

Blog:Well this is my first real blog, but probably like the rest of my blogs, it will be short 'cos of my work load. Can't believe how much I have on at the moment. How can I be so busy in an Island, only 9 x 5 miles and in my job? Always amazes me. For those of you who don't know me. I am in the Building trade. Had a really good weekend. Went down to Gorey on Friday night, good to see some old freinds down there. Got a bit plastered, as I hadn't had anything to eat before hand :-) Fun had by all I reckon. Oh and tried flying a plane after the pub last night. What a nightmare that was! Thanks Robot.......... Get you the next time.

Well here we are again!
Welcome to a new part of my site.This is, what us website owners call, a "Blog". It is a page where I can put any kind of information on really. I can use it as an online diary, slag people or things off, you can see which websites I have been looking at and maybe even some other people will be given permission to add their own useless comments etc.
Do come back from time to time to see what I have been up to or not for that matter.
